Amazing show at the Royal Room. Skerik and Wayne Horvitz playing the music of Sun Ra. Although, I have not really heard a lot of Sun Ra, I have always wanted to. Recently Derek Trucks mentioned that one of the best shows that he ever attended was that of Sun Ra and The Arkestra. Guess I will never be able to see Sun Ra but I couldnt have passed on this. It was a treat. Wayne and Skerik were awesome as always. I was particularly impressed with three others: Hanna Benn, Alex Guy and Beth Fleenor. Gotta look out to see these guys playing live again.
