Experiencing Nirvana

I went to Orcas Island last weekend for a weekend get-away. It was really beautiful out there. Ours was a last minute plan but everything worked out quite well. We stayed at this waterfront property with beautiful view of the waters and Mt Baker.

Next morning we set out to drive around the island. We thought of starting with a breakfast. As I was parking my car, I see Mr. Bruce Pavitt walking. OMG! I said hello to him and what a gentleman he was. I got to thank him for all that he has done and some conversations about Tad, Nirvana and Mudhoney. Ha ha! His visit to India and his current interests, which is DJing. He was also kind enough to walk with me to the bookstore and sign me a copy of “SUB POP USA: The Subterranean Pop Music Anthology, 1980-1988”. Happy accidents!

Dear Santosh, It was a pleasure meeting you on Orcas Island. I have been involved with setting up what I believe will be a truly revolutionary tech/music company. Next week, we will be sending out a one-sheet describing what we’ve been working on, to be followed up with a 20 page business plan for those interested. You seem interested in music and tech. Can I send you a simple one sheet next week so that you could check it out. I promise you, it is quite amazing. I feel that our chance meeting might have karmic implications (really). All the best, Bruce

Hey Bruce, I am quite excited to see your message, thank you for writing to me.

I’d love to learn more about what you are working on. Like we talked, I’ve always admired everything you have done for the music community. If the past is any indication of what is to come, I am quite sure this will also be amazing. I will send you an email with my contact information to your email address listed here.

Good luck! Looking forward to your email.
      Santosh
